1998 J. Miquel Jané Penedès Reserva

  • 1998 J. Miquel Jané Penedès Reserva – Spain, Catalunya, Penedès (11/12/2006)
Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Tempranillo – French and American Oak 12 months
Maroonish with light bricking at the rim, only medium intense in color. Nose is complex with charcoal, chocolate, dark cherry though not obvious, white pepper and cloves. Minerally overall and not really in your face.Fully dry in the mouth with medium to big tannins and a nice firm acidity. In the mouth the palate is less than the nose with cassis, some cherry, anise, green bell pepper, and some chocolate on the finish. Nice wine.
    3.5 grape
