2002 Alvear Montilla-Moriles PX Fino “En Rama”

  • 2002 Alvear Montilla-Moriles PX Fino “En Rama” – Spain, Andalucía, Montilla-Moriles (8/28/2006)
Light yellow gold in color. The nose show’s subtle wood notes, and light almond hints. Delicate melon and light citrus come in towards the end as it opens. Soft in the mouth with a gentle creaminess and rich nutty finish. Light steely notes at the end with a bit of the classic salt air. As it opens you start to see the melon and citrus notes but the nutty wood really is the main focus. Really a beautiful little wine though starting to show it’s age some with the delicate mineral/fruit notes fading.
