2002 Alvear Montilla-Moriles PX Fino “En Rama”
Light gold steely almost. The nose is a revelation for sherry wines showing pear, peach, and other haunting fruits that are difficult to pick out. Very dry in the mouth with an amazingly soft lush acidity. On the palate flavors of candied pear, light salt air, and a lingering soft finish make this one of the most fun wines I have tried in a long time. Bravo.
