London International Wine Tasting

Spain Takes Russia by Storm
So long to sbiten‘, kvass, medok, mors, curdle with raisins, boiled cabbage juice and vodka, and say hello to Tempranillo, Garnacha Tinta and Verdejo! Our Russian friends are not just keen on Spanish wine, but they have increased our export numbers by 103%, putting us in front of FRANCE!

Six Wines Tasted from Cigales, Spain
Spittoon recently judged the Zarcillo wine tasting in Valladolid, Spain and has written up an article regarding his tasting notes from the Cigales region. To read his tasting notes on the wines listed below, follow this link:

  1. Bodegas Pilcar Viña Concejo, 2004, Cigales, Spain
  2. Bodega Santa Rufina Alta Gama Gran Reserva, 1998, Cigales, Spain
  3. Bodega Museum Reserva, Cigales, Spain
  4. Bodegas Hijos de Marcos Gómez Salvueros Tinto Roble, 2005, Cigales, Spain.
  5. Torondos Rosado, 2006, Cigales, Spain
  6. Bodega La Legua Capricho, 2003, Cigales, Spain

France joins Spain in Connecting China to European Wine
Torres China is an e-commerce site marketed towards the 100 billion Chinese Internet interested in purchasing their wines online. Now with the help of Baron Philippe Rothschild, who recently bought 10 percent of the company, projected figures are expected to increase beyond the 54.4% growth seen in 2006. Personally, I just hope this doesn’t mean a decrease in sake consumption.

Spanish Cheese Video
Yesterday, while I was hunting for information on Spanish cheese, I came across this video by accident. What a fantastic way to enjoy a little research on cheese!

Here is another hysterical video on Spanish cheese and Spanish wine by two New Yorkers that had me on the floor laughing. I was not expecting this!

Winecast

Final note is that we will have the privilege of hosting Tim from Winecast over the weekend. Of course we are ecstatic about his visit, because it gives us just one more excuse to wine and dine in Barcelona, celebrate a large fiesta here in Terrassa, and head down to yet another winery in the Priorat. Stay tuned because we will be posting some podcasts with Tim from our rooftop!

Cheers,

Gabriella

    Loved the videos, Ryan.

Glad you liked the videos Bill, but you may want to look at the signature on the post before I get credit for being as handsome as my dearest husband. Don't get me wrong, I could shave my head and start drinking more beer, but the reality is, is that I could never have the same dapper and debonair style as he no matter how hard I try :-)
