New Forum!

As you know, we recently set up a forum for ourselves to allow for conversations about Spanish and Portuguese wine. Great fun idea if you are solely interested in Iberian wine, but it is nothing as extraordinary as the forum that has recently been designed for www.wineblogatlas.com.

What makes the Wine Blog Atlas Forum innovative? Community. Like any forum, the idea is to create a community that allows for a dynamic dialogue between those readers who have common interests. This particular forum, however, not only creates such a dialogue for readers, but for bloggers as well! Therefore, not only can people participate in the regional wine blog conversation through tasting notes and general questions, but there is also a section for Web 2.0 (integrating wine, blogging and web), blogging tips and suggestions, along with an area specifically dedicated to the commercial end of wine. Therefore, if you are a Spanish wine exporter looking for wine, you can post or search for information here. If you are a bodega interested in getting your wine out, go here. If you a bodega looking for help in marketing, labor, advertising, production, etc, just post your information! What this forum allows for is a dialogue between entities that typically don’t have a space to chat! This, my friends, is innovative.

Additionally, the forum supports an idea – better stated, a principle- that Ryan and I hold dear: information should be free! The forum allows you to converse without fear of needing to subscribe, paying a monthly or annual fee for a service you may use once or twice. It is FREE. So hop on once, twice, or 365 days of the year, always knowing that it is a free service to support the growth and development of wine in all aspects.

This is great news for Spanish wine consumers from elsewhere. It sounds like the commercial section will make it less complicated for smaller producers to get their wine exported.
