We apologize for the silence over these past few weeks on Catavino, but we’ve been in the USA attending the North American version of the European Wine Bloggers Conference. 3 days in Walla Walla, Washington, with a few additional days spent in both New York and Seattle, have led to a backlog of emails and a backpack full of story ideas.
From Tempranillo wines made in Washington to Secret Sherry Societies, we have stories to share and tales to tell. Unfortunately, it will be a few more days we arrive back in Barcelona, fully rested and able to deliver a killer line-up of content! So for now, allow us to just give a big thank you.
Being conference organizers ourselves, we know what it’s like to spend an entire year planning? 3 days of whirlwind vineyard tours, international tastings and quality seminar content. It’s not easy, but it’s worth every moment of our time. So to Joel, Allen, Reno and all their fabulous helpers: THANK YOU! You pulled off an amazing conference and something that we hope we can replicate in Vienna this year.
We’d also like to thank the following sponsors for making this event amazing. If we’ve missed anyone, please don’t hesitate to share yourself in the comments.
Washington Wine Commission, Walla Walla Valley Wine Alliance, Ste. Michelle Wine Estates, Yakima Valley Visitors & Convention Bureau, Wine Yakima Valley , Red Mountain AVA, Lake Chelan Wine Valley, Rias Baixas Albarino , Wines from Spain, Winebow, Inc., Canoe Ridge Vineyards, The Meritage Alliance, The Hogue Cellars, Barnard Griffins, Mollydooker, The Secret Sherry Society, Sinclair Estate Vineyards, Foodista, Wine Biz Radio, Wine Business Monthly, Mutineer Magazine, Wines & Vines, Mashable, Duo Public Relations, King Estate, Napa Valley Vintners, True Fabrications, Walla Walla Wine Woman, Wark Communications, Wines.com, Clarkson Potter, Jordan Vineyard and Winery, 100% Cork, DK Publishing
So with that, and a glass of Iberian wine raised, cheers to a successful conference, and we hope everyone can join you next year in Virginia!
