Created in 1994 out of the passion and drive of a handful of young winemakers, Bodegas Aldonia is considered one of our premium finds in Rioja creating some incredible wines. This winery owns 15 hectares of vines, distributed across La Rioja and planted primarily with Tempranillo, alongside smaller percentages of Graciano, Mazuelo and Garnacha, aged between 38-80 years of age. Their vineyards are located on high-altitude sunny slopes containing infertile limestone soils, which give their grapes a healthy balance of both acidity and maturity. Finally, they age in 225 liter French and American oak barrels.
