Reserva - Bodegas Dinastia Vivanco
Gabriella
90% Tempranillo and 10% Graciano. This wine was then aged in 100% new oak barrels for a period of 24 months, and then a further 4 months in larger oak vats, after which the wine spent a further 24 months in bottle before release. Incredibly dark boysenberry in color, with a jewel-like quality to it. Charcoal, molten chocolate, black cherry, raspberry, plum and vanilla bean nose. In the mouth, wine has good acidity, silky but firm tannins that coat my entire mouth and a long, lingering blackberry and boysenberry finish. Definitely shows some oak down the mid palate with a dusting of vanilla, but overall the fruit and wood come together nicely. I’d love this with pork loin! 4/5

Nice pure red color to the wine. Chocolaty wood with deep cherry notes and smoky vanilla notes. In the mouth the wine has fine tannins and a medium acidity. Fully dry finish that lingers shows good dark cherry and raspberry fruit, vanilla oak, and is overall a very approachable wine. The alcohol does show a bit on the finish, though I do think this wine will be better in a year or two. 3.5/5
