Dark in color with rich, concentrated aromas of raw steak, blueberries and a lovely floral component right near the end. Silky, fine tannins, round in the mouth and a lovely bright acidity. Festive flavors linger on my palate of blue and black berries, coffee and anise seed. 4/5

Inky wine with dark dark color. Oak is very apparent with vanilla being predominant. Dark fruit that is almost hidden behind the body. Fine but very big tannins, and an acidity to match. Minerals begin to come out in the nose as it opens. Rich flavors of red fruit. Big spice too, though not as apparent, needs about ten years in bottles. 4/5
