Viña Albina Reserva Semi Dulce - Bodegas Riojanas
Gabriella
Pale yellow in color with medium intensity and a clear, transparent rim. Muted aromas of lychee, white flowers and candy vanilla. It’s interesting how the aromas feel viscous in the nose, with a lovely tangy end note that borders on both pear and white peach flesh. Yet in the mouth, the wine is far from heavy, but rather light and silky with medium acidity and a very one dimensional palate. Light flavors of white flowers disappear on a short and succinct, appearing a little hollow and empty. I’m curious what this wine was like in 2005? 2/5

Light yellow color with a nose of honey, flowers, and quince. Fun and fresh with some oxidative notes, where the honey notes seems to become thicker. In the mouth this wine is soft and gentle with a medium acidity and a simple palate. Short finish with honey notes, and light fruit. A bit flat and maybe a year or two past it’s prime. Still a nice enough after dinner treat. 2.5/5
