2005 Iñigo Amézola – Spain, La Rioja, La Rioja Alavesa, Rioja (6/22/2009) Dark rustic aromas of black cherry, vanilla, toasted oak and a dusting of chocolate. In the mouth, the wine fails to deliver, as if an orchestra took on a newbie member that continually playing off key. Medium body, with chalky tannins and a dark fruit finish. 2.5/5
