Catavino Marketing can Speak in Your Wine Region about Social Media!

Lately, we’ve received a considerable amount of requests to give talks in and around Spain and Portugal on social media, many of which stem from the great reception we received at the Wine Pleasures workshop in Sitges last month. As a team, Gabriella and I educate and blog at the same time, not only providing free and poignant information, but also archiving it for future reference. However, we regret to say that our talks are currently limited to English, though we are working hard to get our Spanish up to par, so that we may do a little of both. There are opportunities to do our talks with interpreters, or to invite some of our fellow social media geeks to join in in other languages, but for now, English is the easiest.

Hence, if you are interested in learning more about social media, we are happy to do so if invited.

Is our goal to sell Catavino Marketing to you? Frankly, not the least bit. In fact, we freely give away useful information in hopes that more wineries here in Iberia will simply embrace Social Media. It is social after all, and these talks are designed to get people excited, to learn and to begin using a wide variety of free tools to market themselves online.

That said, we do charge for these talks, as we need to pay the bills, but we are also aware that more people need to see the value of what we do. This is why for the next 4 invitations we receive to give talks on Social Media, we will wave our speaking fee completely. That’s right, our talks are FREE! All we request is the following:

  1. Travel, lodging and food expenses.
  2. A space that can hold 50 or so people (depends on how many you invite)
  3. 2-3 hrs to present 2 sessions on Blogging and Social Media
  4. WIFI – Not mandatory, but it will SERIOUSLY improve the value of the talks
  5. A projector with proper cables to attach a laptop computer

That should do it! Granted a glass of water, so I don’t lose my voice, and some microphones would be nice, but I suppose I can bring my own water, and as most people know, my voice does necesarily need a mic in a small room.

If your interested, email ryan at catavino dot net. Like we said, the next 4 confirmed talks will be FREE.  Smart wine regions will consider,  as a few others are already doing, potentially combining our talk with a visit to the local wineries/region so that we can write about them on Catavino.net.

Why would you want Catavino Marketing to come speak in your region? Why is this information important? Catavino Marketing is the only company working with a diverse array of wineries in Spain and Portugal, teaching them how social media is not a “possible addition” to a wineries current media plan, but a MANDATORY one. We are the founders of the first ever International Wine Bloggers Conference, one of the top ten wine blogs by readership in the world, and in the end a couple of nice people who really just want to explore Iberian wines.

Let’s talk,

Ryan and Gabriella Opaz
