DAY TRIP TO THE PENEDES WINE COUNTRY

You’ll be picked up at your hotel in a private luxury car and taken to the rolling countryside of the Penedès where a traditional Catalan breakfast awaits you. Mouthwatering flavors will include Butifarra sausage, locally produced artisan cheeses and olive oils, fresh fruit from nearby orchards and homemade pastries served with coffee or with a spot of bubbly, if you prefer.
Breakfast will be followed by a VIP visit to an exclusive, boutique Cava winery, producing some of the best sparkling wine in Spain. Wander ancient cellars stocked with wooden pyramids called “Pupitres” where the Cavas are “riddled” before “degorgement”. These words may sound “foreign” now, but by the end of visit, that includes an extensive tasting, you’ll be teaching friends and family how Cava is made!
By this time, your stomach will be craving a feast, and a feast we will provide! In the heart of the Penedes is a historic restaurant serving up some of the best slow cooked duck with plums and wild mushrooms, you’ve ever tasted. Your lunch will include heaps of hyper local traditional dishes, ending with homemade dessert.
After lunch, you’ll visit the second winery and enjoy a VIP private walking tour of their lush vineyards, followed by a tour of the barriques, cellars, and of course, a fantastic wine tasting of the best wines on offer (4 wines).
