I think that I am starting to understand this blogging thing. It’s about communities based on common likes or interests who tend to have events they use to come together over their common interests.
The other day, I found this “event” that has been going on for a year now, and I think it’s time for me to join in. It’s a chance for wine bloggers to do a group tasting based on certain parameters. This month the theme is “Real Local”, the idea being to find the nearest wine producer to your present location and to drink a wine that they make.
With a little research, I was able to find what I hope is the closest winery to Madrid called,
SOCIEDAD AGRARIA DE TRANSFORMACION NO 8 VIÑA BAYONA.
Now, I just have to find a wine they make!
I also want to encourage any of my readers to participate. Just do some [googleing->http://www.google.com] to find the nearest wine maker near to yo, then buy a bottle and taste it. When your done, write some tasting notes, a short story, or your perspective on what you found and send it to me. You can either post it as a comment or email it to: ryan at catavino dot net, and I will post it for you!
The deadline is August 10th and you can read what others drank over at: [Lenndevours->http://lennthompson.typepad.com/lenndevours/2005/07/announcement_wi.html]
