Discover the secret of Madrid’s cuisine – a fusion of flavors from around the world.
Spanish food is not only a melting pot of flavors from every province in the country but also abroad, encompassing everything from Galician percebes (goose barnacles) and Greek moussaka to Japanese sushi and German bratwurst. Your palate, however, will be tantalized with only old school flavors!
Savor a steaming cup of sinfully delicious hot chocolate with a side of crispy churros – the iconic Spanish donut. Relish Madrid’s classic cocido stew slowly simmering in a centurion kitchen. Enjoy the city’s best homemade Spanish omelette, and a rare tasting of three different styles of cured Spanish ham (including the world-famous acorn-fed Iberian jamón)!
From tasty tapas to superb seafood and traditional roasts, Spanish food is all about making the most of the best local produce! It’s hearty, rich and pairs perfectly with the wide variety of Spanish wines gracing every bar in the city – which is many!
We were part of the 2016 Harvest Tour and had the experience of a lifetime! The Douro Valley is breathtakingly beautiful and our guides were wonderful. Ryan and Gabriella must have called in all of their personal favors because we met and drank wine with many winemakers, a wine shop owner and tasted ’72 port which Oscar Quevedo’s grandfather had made. Doesn’t get any more special than that!
|10:30am||We meet for the tour at 10:30 a.m. in the Plaza Mayor (Plaza Mayor 27, outside of the tourism office)|
