Douro Valley: Full Day Tour and Tasting

Meet your expert wine guide, Ryan Opaz, in the lobby of your hotel before taking off on a small group adventure to the Douro Valley. Your first visit will be to a familiar winery making exceptional red and port wines emblematic of the region. After a visit through their lush vineyards and cellar, you’ll partake in a diverse tasting of their wines. Lunch will be at a quaint local restaurant featuring iconic dishes from the region such as olive oil, honey, sausages, and smoked and cured meats (enchidos) of all kinds. For those who don’t eat meat, an alternative traditional menu can be arranged featuring local delicacies such as plump cherries, almonds and a vast array of greens. After your belly is both full and happily satiated, you will be whisked off on a relaxing boat cruise on the Douro river, followed by an extensive tasting at a familiar winery.
