Peneda-Gerês National Park Tour

On this full-day tour, you’ll not only explore the waterfalls, cliffs and rivers that make Gerês Natural Park exceptional, but you’ll do so with local, and very passionate, English speaking guides. Gerês is a stunning labyrinth of regenerating oak forests, undulating green valleys, peat bogs, 300 million year old granite mountains and tranquil waters of the Homem River. It also happens to be the only National Park in Portugal and touches one of our favorite wine regions, Vinho Verde. Vinho Verde is the northern most wine region in Portugal, famous for its crisp and refreshing whites that pair beautifully with local specialties such as presunto (cured ham), chourico (paprika seasoned pork sausage), queijo (cheese) and caldo verde (kale soup) – all of which you’ll try!  If you’re a nature lover who adores jaw-dropping scenery, dips in crystal blue waters and cozying up to the locals while cooking up traditional cuisine, then you’ll love this Tour.
