This chauffeured excursion is for wine lovers visiting Barcelona and seeking out a VIP experience. The ancient wine region of Penedès has been producing wine since Phoenician times, but it wasn’t the birth of Cava – Spanish sparkling wine made in the traditional Champagne method – that the region gained international fame. While visiting two boutique wineries, you’ll not only explore their vineyards and taste their wines, but you’ll desgorge a bottle of Cava with the winemaker’s themselves!
Lunch will be served in a secreted-away traditional restaurant where hand-made dishes will feature ingredients such as locally sourced meat, vegetables, fruit, game, mushrooms (a highlight!), egg based pastries, fish and seafoods coming from Vilanova y la Geltrú fish market. With charming villages and stunning sunsets, visiting never provides a dull moment. So grab a pair of sturdy shoes to hike the vineyards, a healthy appetite and a desire to savor some amazing wines, because this is not a tour to miss.

We only choose unique, small and authentic wine producers for our tours to make the experience a worthwhile souvenir to take back home. During this short day trip you will visit two separate boutique cellars, where you will be able to interact personally with the owner and winemaker, as well as tasting the wines/Cavas and learning how to disgorge a bottle of Cava.
